About Melissa
Having grown up in the Sussex countryside, I hung up my wellies and set off on what was meant to be a three-month trip to South Africa , nearly five years later, Africa had taken hold of me. Over the last 19 years, I’ve explored much of Southern and East Africa, from the floodplains of Botswana, open plains of Kenya and Tanzania, rainforests of Uganda and the ever-surprising landscapes of Namibia and cheeky lemurs of Madagascar. South Africa is especially close to my heart, with family ties in both Cape Town and KwaZulu Natal. While Africa remains my first love, I’ve also travelled in India, Peru and Mexico, in the quest of exploring the different wildlife and cultures across the globe. I also love escaping to parts of Italy where English isn’t the norm! For me, it’s all about designing meaningful journeys – ones that are luxurious yet full of character, and that open the door to the places I hold dear.
