Its rivers and mountains offer some of the world’s best trekking and rafting, its national parks shelter the One-Horned Rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tiger and its people exude life, colour and warmth.

Our Destination Experts can arrange one-of-a-kind experiences in Nepal from a helicopter safari over the Himalayas, offering unparalleled vistas of Everest’s majestic peaks to private trekking expeditions with expert guides, exploring hidden trails while savouring gourmet cuisine and comfy camping accommodations.

Best hotels in Nepal

Nothing but the best. Browse our handpicked, tried-and-tested luxury Nepal hotels.

Happy House, Solukhumbu

The Happy House sits at 2,500m above sea level, surrounded by pine trees, wild rhododendron forests and ancient yak trade routes.

Sir Edmund Hillary was a regular guest here during his annual visits to Nepal between 1974 and 2001 and referred to it as his “happy place” – hence the lodge’s name. The guesthouse comprises 10 suites, a large living room with several fireplaces, an outstanding library, a meditation and yoga room and a beautiful, traditional kitchen. There is also an exquisite treatment room and a sauna.

Dwarika’s, Kathmandu

Dwarika’s is owned and run by three generations of the Shrestha family. Nepal’s only heritage hotel, it has been beautifully restored using local brick and antique wood carvings.

Designed in the style of a Newari village, the luxurious rooms are scattered around a spacious courtyard filled with terracotta pots, running fountains and even the occasional monkey. You will find elements of the country’s diverse cultural heritage throughout, furniture created by generations of traditional carpenters, textiles, linens and embroideries handwoven with Nepali patterns. The perfect mix of comfort and authenticity, we think this family-run hotel represents Nepal at its best. Dwarika's also serves superb Nepali cuisine in the traditional dining room and is a short distance from the centre of town.

Shinta Mani Mustang, Jomsom

Located in the breathtaking Kingdom of Tibet is Shinta Mani Mustang, a majestic property set among monasteries and nestled under snow-capped peaks, including soaring Mount Nilgiri Himal.

A true gem of a hotel, it accommodates just 29 stunning suites, all built to the highest environmental standards and complete with the signature stunning design touches of starchitect and hotel group founder, Bill Bensley.
