Having spent my childhood running wild on a farm, you could say a love of nature is in my blood. After my first trip to Southern Africa in my teens, I was hooked, and returned to work there during both my gap year and after university, when I qualified as a FGASA trails guide. Five years guiding for luxury lodges in South Africa ensued, which fuelled a desire to explore as much of the continent as possible, from the stunning landscapes and geology of the Namib Desert and the incredibly biodiverse Okavango Delta to the ever-green Land of a Thousand Hills in Rwanda. I am in awe of the individuality of each area, and how much we can learn from the experiences and people, and it is a pleasure to help create everlasting memories through cazenove+loyd’s individually designed trips.

Renowned as the adventure capital of Africa and the home of walking safaris, there is so much to see in this incredibly diverse, land-locked country. My journey took me from the banks of the Zambezi River, with exceptional game viewing from canoe safaris to the beautiful ebony forests of the South Luangwa and then on to the mighty ‘Smoke that Thunders’ aka the Victoria Falls.
