PR + PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

About Rebecca

Always on the hunt for my next adventure, I love to try out local food and flavours, meet remote communities and learn all about a country’s fascinating history. I’ve been lucky enough to tick off a lot of bucket list experiences during my travels. Highlights have included scuba diving with hammerhead sharks in the Blue Hole in Belize; trekking through Myanmar’s remote jungle; skydiving over Fox Glacier in New Zealand; sailing around the Whitsundays in Australia; and swimming with giant mantas off Nusa Penida, Indonesia. Having worked in travel PR for more than 12 years, overseeing the PR for tourist boards, tour operators and luxury hotels, I have also been lucky enough to arrange press trips to some of the most extraordinary places, with recent trips to the Maldives, Laos and Cambodia.

Just returned from…

Mexico

It was certainly a jampacked itinerary. Most couples on their honeymoon choose to fly and flop to a romantic island…not us! In two weeks, we visited Mexico City, Oaxaca, Holbox Island and Tulum. It was well worth it though and have now put Mexico City as my favourite city in the world. It’s got everything – amazing restaurants (we were lucky enough to get a table at Quintonil, voted 9th best in the world); amazing architecture; fascinating museums (I highly recommend the National Museum of Anthropology); and a brilliant bar and music scene. We also felt completely safe when wandering around the city – you just need to stick to the more affluent and touristy neighbourhoods (the Historic Centre, Polanco and Roma) and simply use your common sense!

NEXT DESTINATION IS…

Turks + Caicos

This will be our first big trip with the baby whilst on maternity leave. It is often ranked one of the best Caribbean islands to visit for families, due to its brilliant family friendly hotels and stunning beaches whilst also being extremely safe and free of crowds. For once, I think we’ll actually relax whilst on holiday…if the baby behaves!
