Country Highlights

Two Days, One Night: Soulful Journey through Hạ Long Bay

Bhaya Soul, Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

This short voyage introduces the extraordinary limestone seascape of Hạ Long Bay, where thousands of jungle-clad karsts rise dramatically from emerald waters. Days are spent gently cruising between quiet lagoons and hidden coves, with time to kayak beneath towering cliffs or explore Tiên Ông Cave, once used as shelter by early inhabitants of the bay. Visits to the floating community of Cửa Vạn Village offer a glimpse of life on the water, while mornings begin peacefully with Tai Chi on the sun deck as the bay slowly wakes around you.

Three days, two nights: Nature’s symphony of Hạ Long and Lan Hạ Bay

Bhaya Soul, Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

With an extra day to explore, this voyage ventures beyond the well-known corners of Hạ Long Bay into the quieter waters of Lan Hạ Bay, where secluded anchorages and forested islands feel wonderfully removed from the world. Paddle through the tranquil waters of Ba Ham Lake, visit Tiên Ông Cave, and continue to Việt Hải Village on Cát Bà Island, where cycling through lush countryside offers an insight into local life. Between explorations there is ample time to relax onboard, whether enjoying the ever-changing scenery from the sun deck or lingering over fresh Vietnamese dishes as the limestone peaks glow in the evening light.

Good to know

What are the cabin options on Bhaya Soul?

Bhaya Soul offers four suite types, each with a private terrace, ensuite bathroom and views of Hạ Long Bay. The Signature Suites are cosy retreats, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. Symphony Suites are slightly larger, with raised views and a sunlit terrace. At the stern, Horizon Suites offer wide panoramic vistas, while the Soul Legacy Suite at the bow provides the most space and uninterrupted views over the bay. All suites combine modern comfort with natural elegance for a peaceful onboard stay.

Are children welcome?

Bhaya Soul welcomes children of all ages. There are a range of activities that both children and adults will enjoy, from exploring caves and beaches to swimming and kayaking.

Sustainable travel

Bhaya Soul focuses on sustainable travel to help protect Ha Long Bay. The cruise works to reduce its environmental impact by avoiding single-use plastics and offering refillable water stations. Waste is sorted on board, and advanced wastewater treatment systems help keep the bay’s water clean. These steps help protect marine life and preserve the natural beauty of the area.

The company also supports wider environmental action. Bhaya Soul takes part in regular “Clean the Bay” campaigns where staff and volunteers remove litter from beaches and waterways. It also supports the protection of the endangered Cat Ba langur through conservation awareness and fundraising. In addition, Bhaya Cruises partners with SUNx Malta to support climate-friendly travel and encourage long-term carbon reduction.

Giving back

Bhaya Soul also works to support local communities around Ha Long Bay. One example is the Bhaya Community Farm, which works with villagers in Viet Hai Village. Local farmers grow organic produce that can be used in meals on the cruise. This project helps create income for local families while providing fresh ingredients for guests.

The company also supports social programs that help people beyond tourism. Bhaya Cruises partners with the education organisation U-Go to help fund scholarships for women from low-income backgrounds. By supporting education and including respectful cultural visits in its itineraries, Bhaya Soul helps ensure that tourism benefits both the environment and the local community.

Why we love Bhaya Soul

We love that there are only 20 cabins on board, meaning that it creates a much quieter and more intimate atmosphere. You get a much more personalised experience than you would on a larger cruise, and the staff and guides are phenomenal.
