Good to know

How to get there

Amangiri is tucked away in a remote corner of southern Utah, near the Arizona border, yet remains surprisingly accessible with the right planning.

The nearest airport is Page Municipal Airport (PGA) in Arizona, just 25 minutes away by car, offering limited regional flights from Phoenix and Las Vegas. Private charters are also possible into Page for a seamless arrival.

Alternatively, most guests fly into Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) or Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). From there, it’s a 4.5 to 5-hour drive, or we can arrange a private transfer or scenic flight direct to Page.

From Page, Amangiri provides a complimentary private transfer to the resort, ensuring a smooth and discreet arrival.

Though remote, the journey is part of the experience — vast desert plateaus, ribboned canyons and cinematic skies set the tone before you even arrive.

Of course, you could consider arriving by helicopter, landing directly at the resort’s private helipad — an unforgettable way to take in Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend and the otherworldly terrain en route.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome at Amangiri, though the experience is best suited to older children and teens who can appreciate the setting, pace and activities on offer.

The resort offers tailored, family-friendly adventures such as guided slot canyon walks, fossil hunts, beginner-friendly via ferrata climbs, horseback riding and Navajo storytelling around the fire. Camp Sarika, Amangiri’s tented retreat nearby, is particularly well-suited to families seeking a more immersive, nature-based stay.

Suites are spacious and can accommodate extra beds, and private dining or early mealtimes can be arranged to suit younger guests. The vast, open landscape provides space to roam, while the calm, design-led atmosphere lends itself to peaceful, screen-free family time.

While there is no formal kids’ club, the concierge team excels at curating bespoke experiences that allow children to connect with the land in meaningful and memorable ways.

While it’s a peaceful, wellness-focused retreat, Blue Sky never feels overly formal. Instead, it encourages children to engage with the outdoors in a meaningful and hands-on way, whether that’s learning about regenerative farming or helping to harvest vegetables from the onsite farm.

Giving back

Amangiri’s sustainability approach is rooted in its deep respect for the land, its Indigenous heritage and the fragile desert ecosystem it inhabits. While discreet rather than loudly publicised, its operations reflect a thoughtful, low-impact philosophy.

  • Architectural sensitivity – The resort was designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape, using natural materials and low-profile structures that minimise visual and environmental impact. Its footprint is small relative to the vast private land it occupies, helping to preserve the surrounding wilderness.

  • Water and energy conservation – In this arid region, water use is carefully managed. Landscaping is entirely native, eliminating the need for irrigation. The resort also employs energy-efficient systems and smart climate control to reduce consumption in extreme desert temperatures.

  • Minimal waste and local sourcing – Amangiri uses locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, supporting regional farmers and reducing transport emissions. Waste is minimised through careful provisioning, composting and recycling programmes.

  • Cultural respect and community engagement – The resort works closely with local Navajo communities, employing Indigenous guides and craftspeople, and offering guests authentic cultural experiences that are both respectful and beneficial to the local economy.

Celebrations

Amangiri is one of the most spectacular places to arrange a private event, from weddings and birthday celebrations to gatherings of friends and family, you can arrange the party to end all parties here.

Why we love Amangiri

Few places we’ve seen are as exclusive as Amagiri, the setting is so remote and otherworldly that it’s hard to describe, and the staff are everything you would expect from an Aman property – simply brilliant.
