Why visit Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a city that revels in contrast, a place where theatrical excess meets surprising intimacy, and where the desert’s stillness sits just beyond the neon glow. For those who look beyond the surface, it offers far more than bright lights and late nights.

Come for the energy of the Strip, where world-class chefs reinterpret global cuisines and headline performers turn an ordinary evening into something memorable. Stay for the quieter moments: a sunrise over the Mojave, a helicopter flight tracing the curves of the Grand Canyon, or a private table tucked away from the crowds, where the city suddenly feels personal.

What makes Las Vegas compelling is its sense of possibility. One moment you are watching fountains dance in perfect synchrony, the next you are off-road in a 4WD, carving through desert trails with nothing but open space ahead. It is a destination that adapts effortlessly, whether you are celebrating, escaping, or simply indulging curiosity.

We often suggest pairing the city with time beyond it, allowing the spectacle of Las Vegas to be balanced by the raw beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Hotel rooms on a different scale

Las Vegas is home to some of the world’s largest suites, where private pools, butlers and grand pianos turn a stay into something entirely your own.

Meadows in the desert

Las Vegas began as a desert stop-off for travellers on the Spanish Trail, its name meaning ‘the meadows’ thanks to natural springs that once flowed here.

OUR FAVOURITE TIME TO VISIT

Summers in Las Vegas can be on the “very hot” side with temperatures well into the 40’sC (100F) so it’s often best to be there in the spring and autumn months.  Look out for the Grand Prix in November or visit in March when it’s warm enough to be in the pool but not so hot you can’t be outside.
