How to get there

Galaxy Sirius operates itineraries beginning at either Baltra or San Cristóbal. After flying from Quito or Guayaquil, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the embarkation point. The first wildlife visit often takes place that same afternoon, so the journey moves quickly from airport formalities to exploring the islands.

Are children welcome?

Yes. Children aged six and above are accepted aboard Galaxy Sirius. The stable catamaran design, connecting cabins and variety of snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding and shore activities make her a strong option for active families. However, the excursions follow a full expedition schedule, so she is better suited to children who are enthusiastic about wildlife and comfortable around water.

Giving back

Galaxy Sirius operates without guest-facing single-use plastics and uses certified marine paint designed to avoid releasing harmful substances into the surrounding water. Recycling and waste separation form part of daily operations, with more than 130 kilograms of recyclable material collected through the operator’s recent environmental programme.

The wider Patitas Azules initiative supports environmental education, community clean-ups and practical conservation work within the Galápagos. Its Guardians of the Earth programme encourages the use of reusable products, while partnerships with local organisations help deliver workshops and promote responsible resource use among residents, visitors and staff.

Where possible, food and other supplies are sourced locally, helping reduce transport requirements while retaining more of the economic benefit of tourism within Ecuador. Excursions follow Galápagos National Park rules governing visitor numbers, wildlife distances and approved landing sites.
