Growing up in the Brecon Beacons in Wales, where long days in the mountains, usually wet and muddy, gave me a love of wild places that has never really left. As a child, I was fortunate to be swept along on my parents’ travels, and that early curiosity about how other people live has quietly shaped every chapter of my life since. Horses took me to Canada for 15 years, where I trained and rode professionally and found yet more excuses to roam with exciting journeys that followed horses around the world. Alongside a passion for the outdoors and any opportunity to ski, travel became the joy that connected it all: discovering new landscapes, listening to local stories and noticing the small details that make a place unforgettable. Wherever I travel to now, I try to really understand a destination, often through its food. I seek out local cooking classes, markets and street stalls. My most recent trip, to Hong Kong was a perfect blend of all of this, from the energy of the Hong Kong Sevens and late-night dim sum to peaceful moments in the hills overlooking the city. This unconventional and immersive route into travel, helps me to truly understand and highlight moments that will enhance every memory for my clients.

JUST RETURNED FROM…

Hong Kong

My last adventure was to Hong Kong  for the Rugby Sevens, and it was pure magic. A whirlwind of the tournament’s electric roar where I ate my weight in dim sum from those hole-in-the-wall spots that somehow taste better at midnight. I lost myself dodging through the endless bustle of street markets still humming late into the night, soaking up that chaotic energy that makes the city feel so alive. One standout evening at The Art of Canton topped it off perfectly with its jaw-dropping views over the glittering skyline and delicious fine dining menu. Hong Kong offers endless layers for the curious traveller from its high-octane events and street food feasts to serene hillside escapes. That mix of frenzy and calm left me buzzing for days, already plotting my return.

NEXT DESTINATION IS…

Mongolia

My next inspiration is Mongolia, a vast and timeless landscape that has captivated me completely. The dream of riding horses across its endless steppes under immense skies, feeling the steady rhythm of hooves on open grassland and sharing quiet evenings by a herder’s fire, exchanging stories beneath a canopy of stars. It promises that rare sense of untamed freedom and deep cultural immersion which defines the best journeys.
