Giving back

LABA Fanjove has been designed to operate with a light environmental footprint. The island’s villas are built using natural materials, including sustainable wood, palm leaves and local coral stone, while solar power is used to reduce reliance on traditional energy sources. The lodge’s careful design allows guests to experience the island’s natural environment while helping to preserve its fragile coastal ecosystem.

The lodge also supports the surrounding community through local employment and by working with people from nearby Songo Songo Island. A percentage of income generated by Fanjove is contributed towards local community projects, helping ensure that tourism provides wider benefits beyond the island itself.
