Good to know

How to get there

Anse Chastanet is reached via Hewanorra International Airport in the south of the island. From here, it’s around a 60–75 minute transfer by private car to the hotel, following a scenic coastal and mountain road. Helicopter transfers are also available for a faster, aerial arrival with views of the Pitons.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome at Anse Chastanet, though the atmosphere is best suited to older children and teens. There’s no formal kids’ club, and the tranquil, nature-focused setting tends to appeal more to families with an adventurous spirit rather than those seeking classic family-style entertainment.

The open-plan rooms with steep steps and balconies may not be ideal for very young children, but for families with confident swimmers and independent explorers, the snorkelling, kayaking and jungle biking can be fantastic.

Giving back

  • Eco-conscious design – Buildings are crafted using local materials and designed to maximise natural ventilation and light, reducing the need for air conditioning.

  • No single-use plastics – The resort has eliminated plastic straws, cups and water bottles, offering guests reusable alternatives instead.

  • Organic farming – Much of the fresh produce comes from the resort’s own Emerald Estate, an organic farm in the Soufrière hills.

  • Reef + marine protection – Located within a protected marine reserve, the resort supports local conservation efforts and promotes responsible diving practices.

  • Local employment + training – The majority of staff are Saint Lucian, many from the nearby town of Soufrière, and are offered training, growth and development opportunities.

  • Low-impact amenities – In-room amenities are biodegradable or refillable, and the resort uses environmentally friendly cleaning products.

Why we love Anse Chastanet

The location of this hotel speaks for itself, but what is really special about it is under the waves. This is one of the best dive sites in the Caribbean and with a PADI centre it’s a wonderful place for first timers.
