Giving back

Uga Hallowella is committed to preserving the biodiversity of Sri Lanka’s hill country. The estate supports reforestation and biodiversity conservation in partnership with local environmental organisations. It also provides employment and skills development to nearby tea estate communities, and sources the majority of its food and supplies from local farmers and producers.

Why we love Uga Halloowella

Staying at Uga Hallowella feels like slipping back in time. The colonial-era charm, the silence broken only by birdsong and the scent of tea on the breeze — it’s a rare combination of comfort and authenticity in Sri Lanka’s highlands.
