Good to know

How do we get there?

Most people will fly to Phinda Airstrip from either Cape Town or Johannesburg. If you are in Durban then it’s worth knowing that you can drive there in around three hours, it is a beautiful journey that you can easily drive yourself if you want.

Do I need to take anti-malarials?

Phinda is a “low-risk” malaria zone, you should seek medical advice from your doctor before travel and take precautions against being bitten.

Can I have a private game vehicle?

Absolutely, there is an extra charge and with enough warning, it can be easily arranged.

Are children welcome?

Children are welcome from the age of 3 and there is a special “WILDchild” programme to keep them entertained. Do bear in mind that there are restrictions on walking safaris for all children under 16.
