Giving back

Flockhill Lodge is dedicated to protecting its stunning alpine environment. It has a long-term Biodiversity Plan focused on restoring native plants, wetlands, and waterways over the next 10 to 100 years. The team works hard to remove invasive wilding pines and pests so native birds and wildlife can thrive.

The Lodge itself  is designed so it is using energy efficient systems, low- water fixtures, recycling and locally sourced eco-friendly products.

Flockhill also produces ZQ-certified wool on the working sheep station, which ensures both animal welfare and environmental care.

Why we love Flockhill Lodge

We love learning about the working sheep station at Flockhill Lodge. Meeting the dogs and watching them work alongside the shepherds is great! Exploring the property on horseback is another highlight, riding amongst the snow tussocks and watching the deer is such a beautiful experience.
