Good to know

How do we get there?

The hotel is easily accessible from Auckland via a 40–50 minute ferry to Matiatia Wharf, followed by a private transfer to the lodge. For a more luxurious option, guests can arrive by helicopter in just 10–12 minutes, landing directly at the lodge’s helipad. Light aircraft and seaplane options are also available.

Are children welcome?

Delamore Lodge welcomes children, but with some restrictions—guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and children under 13 are generally only accepted by prior arrangement. The lodge is best suited to older children and families booking the two-bedroom apartment or villa.

Giving back

Delamore Lodge pride themselves in protecting the amazing wildlife on the beautiful island. They have planted more of the native bush and other varieties of plants for the insects and the birds.

The lodge itself was constructed to follow the natural terrain of the hillside, and

embraces sustainability through eco-sensitive architecture, rainwater harvesting, and strong waste reduction practices, including composting and recycling. It uses locally sourced, refillable products and bed linen made from recycled plastic bottles. Energy use is minimised with smart room systems and hybrid transport, while local suppliers and Māori cultural connections are actively supported.

What's nearby?

The hotel is close to beautiful beaches like Oneroa and Onetangi, renowned wineries such as Mudbrick and Cable Bay, and vibrant art galleries including the Waiheke Community Art Gallery. Guests can enjoy outdoor adventures like zip-lining and sea kayaking or explore historic sites like Stony Batter. The nearby Oneroa village offers charming shops, cafés, and excellent dining options, making the lodge an ideal base for experiencing the best of Waiheke Island.

Why we love Delamore Lodge

We love Delamore Lodge for its unique design, which is inspired by a Māori fishhook (matau)!
