How to get there

Shinta Mani Mustang is a remote mountain retreat, accessible directly by private helicopter landing at the resort’s own helipad after a spectacular journey over the Himalayas. The drive typically takes five to six hours, though travel times may vary depending on the season, weather, and road conditions.

Are children welcome?

Yes, Shinta Mani Mustang does welcome children, with the resort best suited for families with older children who can enjoy the adventure of this remote Himalayan retreat.

Giving back

Shinta Mani Mustang supports the Pasang Lhamu Foundation, empowering women through education, vocational training, and health initiatives, while its revenues fund community programs that preserve local culture and promote sustainability.

The resort grows much of its own produce in on-site greenhouses, reducing food miles, and incorporates solar power and efficient insulation to minimize energy use. Built with locally sourced wood and stone, the property also plants thousands of trees, utilizes a sustainable wastewater system, and sources fair-trade and ethically produced items for the spa. In addition, Shinta Mani Mustang provides employment opportunities and training programs for the local community, fostering long-term positive impact in the region.
