Why visit Langkawi

Langkawi is an island  known for its soft sandy beaches, calm waters and laid-back pace, making it ideal for switching off after time in the city. Beyond the coastline, you’ll find ancient rainforest, mangroves and limestone formations, with opportunities to explore by boat, kayak or on guided walks, often spotting wildlife along the way.

Langkawi also feels less developed than many beach destinations in the region, so you still get that tropical, untouched feel, particularly in areas like Datai Bay. At the same time, there are excellent resorts, good food and easy access, which makes it a very easy and rewarding addition to a wider Singapore and Malaysia journey.

Did you know?

Langkawi is part of the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark, recognised for its ancient geological formations, some of which are hundreds of millions of years old.
