How do we get there?

Mandrare River Camp is best reached via a scheduled or charter flight from Antananarivo to Fort Dauphin, followed by a scenic 4WD drive of around three to four hours through southern Madagascar’s dramatic landscapes.

Are children welcome?

Yes. Mandrare River Camp welcomes children, particularly those with a sense of adventure. The camp suits families with older, curious travellers who enjoy guided walks, wildlife encounters and cultural experiences, rather than structured, child-focused facilities.
