Hemingways Collection supports local communities through long-term partnerships and meaningful projects. It works closely with One Horizon, a Nairobi-based organisation that helps improve education, health, and livelihoods for vulnerable families.
The Collection also supports community rugby clubs, including Nondies in Nairobi and Diani Pirates on the coast, using sport to inspire and empower young people.
In Kenya’s conservancies, such as Mara North and Naboisho, tourism helps provide income to local landowners and supports jobs, training, and skills development. By employing and training people from nearby communities, the Collection helps create stable careers and brighter futures.
The Hemingways Collection also plays an active role in protecting the environment. It supports conservancies and protected areas that safeguard wildlife and natural habitats across Kenya.
Through its properties in the Maasai Mara and along the coast in Watamu, the Collection contributes to the protection of grasslands, forests, coral reefs, and marine ecosystems.
