How to get there

HOSHINOYA Fuji is a two-hour journey from Tokyo by train or car. The nearest station is Kawaguchiko, from where a short taxi ride brings you to the resort. Private transfers can be arranged on request for a seamless journey.

Are children welcome?

HOSHINOYA Fuji welcomes children; however, the resort’s tranquil atmosphere and design cater primarily to adults. There are no specific child-friendly facilities, and the experience is best suited to older children who can appreciate the serene setting and outdoor-focused activities.

Giving back

HOSHINOYA Fuji is committed to sustainability through innovative waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency. The resort sources hydroelectric and geothermal energy, achieving approximately 70% self-sufficiency. Kitchen waste is composted to support local agriculture, and waste is meticulously sorted into 28 categories for effective recycling.

The resort promotes Stakeholder Tourism, encouraging longer stays to minimise travel impact and support local businesses. It also partners with Picchio, a nature conservation group, to offer eco-tours that educate guests on the surrounding ecosystem.
