Arrive at Merapoh and step into Taman Negara National Park, one of the world’s oldest rainforests, formed around 130 million years ago. Here, dense jungle, winding rivers and ancient mountains create a remarkable setting for exploration, with wildlife including hornbills, tapirs, macaques and, more rarely, the Malayan tiger.

After breakfast on board watch as the train crosses to Penang.
