LOCAL LOWDOWN

The Matthews Mountain Range is home to the Samburu. During dryer times the men will dig wells in the dry river beds and sing as they work. These are known as “Singing-Wells” and the songs have been passed down over hundreds of years. Even the livestock learn to recognise them and will find their way to their owners well. It’s an incredible event to experience.
