Itinerary Highlights

A day visiting colonial Quito & take a traditional Cooking Class

Quito, Ecuador

Your visit begins with Quito’s cable car, the highest in South America, ascending from 2,950m to 4,050m near Pichincha Volcano for panoramic city and mountain views. Next, you’ll join a cooking class to learn and prepare traditional Ecuadorian dishes.

After lunch, you will explore Quito’s colonial centre, visiting Plaza de la Independencia, the Government Palace, Cathedral, and historic churches. The tour ends with a chocolate experience, detailing Ecuador’s cocoa history and featuring a tasting of the renowned Cacao Arriba chocolate.

Fly to the Galápagos Islands & Visit Genovesa Island

wildlife, genovesa island, Galapagos, Ecuador

Fly over to the Galápagos Islands where you will embark your luxury cruise. One of your first excursions is a visit to Genovesa. Genovesa Island is the island’s only sandy beach located in the caldera. Here, you’ll see colonies of Great Frigates with males displaying their red balloon pouches to attract females. Red-footed boobies nest in the trees, unlike other booby species that nest on the ground.

In the afternoon, you will explore El Barranco (Prince Philip’s Steps), a stone stairway leading to a wide plateau. This area is home to large colonies of masked boobies, frigate birds, storm petrels, and ducks.

Visit Isabela Island

penguins, isabela island, Galapagos, Ecuador

Visit Isabela Island, starting in the morning with a zodiac excursion to Elizabeth Bay, a marine visitor site with no landing point. Today begins at the Marielas islets, home to the largest and most important penguin colony in the Galápagos. The journey continues into a cove surrounded by red mangroves, where you can observe sea turtles, flightless cormorants, spotted eagle rays, golden rays, brown pelicans, and sea lions.

Isabela & Fernandina Island

iguanas, fernandina Island, Galapagos, Ecuador

Start today with a visit to Tagus Cove. A zodiac ride along the cliffs offers views of Galápagos penguins, flightless cormorants, and other sea birds. From the landing dock, a 30-minute hike leads to the top of a cliff overlooking Darwin Lake and several volcanoes.  After lunch, visit Espinoza Point on Fernandina Island, known for its fascinating lava scenery and Lava-Cacti. Mangroves thrive on the lava surface. Highlights today include sea lions, penguins, flightless cormorants (especially in spring and summer), and one of the largest iguana colonies in the Galápagos.

Visit Santiago & Rabida Island

rabida Island, Galapagos, Ecuador

Begin your day exploring Santiago Island’s Buccaneer Cove, a historic hideout for 17th and 18th-century pirates. Enjoy a zodiac ride, snorkelling, and kayaking while spotting blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, fur seals, and Galápagos hawks. Alternatively, visit Espumilla Beach, a pristine sandy beach popular with marine iguanas and Sally Lightfoot crabs, attracting hunting herons. Snorkelling here reveals abundant marine life including octopi, moray eels, and sharks.

In the afternoon, visit Rabida Island, known for its red sand beach, cactus groves, and unique rock formations. Walk along the beach to see brown pelican nests and a lagoon where flamingos are occasionally spotted

Visit Mosquera Island

mosquera island, Galapagos, Ecuador

Visit Mosquera; a small islet between Baltra and North Seymour Islands. This 600 metre sandbank is home to lava gulls, sea lions, and Sally Lightfoot crabs. Mosquera hosts one of the largest sea lion populations, and orca whales can occasionally be seen, depending on the season
