Argentine Gaucho Immersion

This itinerary is ideal for anyone looking to spend as much time in the saddle as possible exploring a centuries old working estancia in the stunning scenery that surrounds Cordoba. First established in 1573, Los Potreros has been in the same, Anglo-Argentine family for four generations and with over 80 horses on which to explore the nearly 7,000 acres of land there is something for every riding style. This means you can happily spend a days gently exploring the hills, galloping across the plains, trying your hand at polo or even lassoing. In this version we’ve included the minimum extra nights needed in Buenos Aires so do remember that there are countless ways to extend the adventure.

Day 5: Polo Day

A trip to an Argentine estancia would not feel right without the opportunity to try the “Sport of Kings”. If you’re a beginner then don’t worry you’ll have a lesson and plenty of practice time before the chukkas start for real. With enough guests there will, inevitably be a Guachos vs Guests match before you settle in for an Asado lunch and an afternoon of relaxing.
