An Expedition to the End of the World

At the southern most point of South America lies Tierra del Fuego, a island that has long been steeped in mystery and lore from the times of the early explorers. Named by Magellan in 1520 due to the fires of the indigenous hunter-gatherer cultures including the Selk’nam and Yámana, its dramatic landscape of windswept plains, glacial peaks, and icy channels later attracted missionaries, gold prospectors, and sheep farmers. In the 20th century, it became strategically important for Chile and Argentina, both of whom share the region. Today, it’s prized for its pristine wilderness and unique biodiversity. This itinerary will take you deep into this wild land with incredible guides to lead the way, staying at some remote estancias this is truly an expedition where the daily plan may change at any point due to weather and opportunities.
