Good to know

What are the cabin options on the Aliikai?

Aliikai offers seven en-suite cabins, each with its own character and layout, spread across three decks.

  • On the main deck, two spacious Owner’s Cabins—the Fam Cabin and the Kei Cabin—feature king-size beds (convertible into twins), private balconies, writing desks, and en-suite bathrooms. These cabins are ideal for couples or families looking for a little extra space and direct access to the outdoors.
  • The upper deck houses two Deluxe Ocean View Cabins. The Koon Cabin, tucked away at the end of the hallway, offers additional privacy along with large ocean-view windows and a queen-size bed that can be configured as twins. The Savu Cabin also features ocean-facing windows, a queen-size convertible bed, and an elevated position onboard, perfect for those seeking tranquillity and natural light.
  • On the lower deck, the Dayak and Abui Cabins provide ocean views through classic portholes, each with a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The Asmat Cabin, located uniquely in the bow, offers the same amenities with a slightly different layout, for a cosy, tucked-away atmosphere and restful nights at sea.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome aboard Aliikai, though the yacht’s peaceful, adult-focused atmosphere makes it best suited for private charters when travelling with younger guests. Families will appreciate the spacious layout, flexible cabin configurations—including twin and family-friendly options—and the attentive crew, who can adapt daily activities like snorkelling, beach picnics, and wildlife spotting to suit all ages. While supervision is required around water-based experiences, Aliikai offers a wonderful opportunity for families to explore Indonesia together in comfort, privacy, and style.

Sustainable travel

Aliikai embraces sustainable travel by combining traditional Indonesian craftsmanship with modern eco-conscious practices. Built using time-honoured shipbuilding methods in South Sulawesi and carefully refitted in Bali, the yacht minimises environmental impact while preserving cultural heritage.

Its classic two-mast sailing rig allows Aliikai to harness wind power, reducing fuel consumption and enabling quieter, more eco-friendly cruising through Indonesia’s waters.

Onboard, the crew follows green practices such as recycling waste and using biodegradable cleaning products. Guests are encouraged to engage in conservation activities like reef-cleaning dives and are educated about protecting the delicate marine environments they visit.

Giving back

Aliikai is dedicated to giving back to the communities it encounters across the Indonesian archipelago. Built by master boatbuilders in Bulukumba, the yacht proudly supports local craftsmanship and maritime traditions. During each voyage, guests are invited to connect meaningfully with the people who call these remote regions home—whether through visiting traditional markets, joining artisan-led weaving demonstrations in Sumba, or spending time with the Dyak and Asmat communities in Kalimantan and Papua. These thoughtfully curated interactions are designed to foster mutual respect and understanding, while directly supporting local livelihoods and preserving cultural heritage.

Why we love the Aliikai

We love Aliikai for the incredible team onboard, but a special shoutout has to go to the dive masters. Having dived all over the world, the Aliikai dive team truly stands out—plus, the dive sites in these remote corners are absolutely unforgettable.
