Giving back

Nayara Tented Camp is deeply committed to sustainability and regenerative tourism, focusing on environmental stewardship and community support. The resort has implemented various eco-friendly practices, including building structures that maximise natural light and ventilation to reduce energy use. They have also eliminated single-use plastics, replacing them with reusable materials, and implemented comprehensive recycling programmes.

A major part of their sustainability efforts is reforestation. Nayara has planted thousands of native trees, creating a haven for wildlife, including sloths and birds. Additionally, the resort supports Arenal National Park’s conservation efforts.

Nayara also places great emphasis on community development, with most of their staff coming from nearby towns. The resort provides employees with free transportation, education on sustainable tourism, and health services. They also support local artists and run social initiatives, including early education for employees’ children and financial aid to local organisations.
