Good to know

How to get there

From Puerto Natales, The Singular Patagonia is just a 10-minute drive north along the waterfront in Puerto Bories. Transfers are included as part of your stay.

From El Calafate in Argentina, the journey takes approximately five to six hours by road, including the border crossing into Chile. We recommend arranging a private transfer for the most comfortable experience, particularly when combining Chilean and Argentine Patagonia within one itinerary.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome at The Singular Patagonia, and the property works well for families seeking an active Patagonian adventure with added comfort and space. Larger suite configurations can accommodate families, while many excursions can be adapted for different ages and interests.

Older children and teenagers tend to enjoy the hiking, kayaking and wildlife-focused experiences most, though gentler activities can also be arranged. The relaxed atmosphere, spacious grounds and indoor-outdoor pool make it a comfortable base for families exploring southern Patagonia together.

Giving back

The Singular Patagonia places strong emphasis on preserving both the natural environment and the cultural heritage of Puerto Bories. The property carefully restored the historic cold-storage plant rather than rebuilding anew, maintaining original industrial features while giving new life to one of Patagonia’s most significant historical landmarks.

Sustainability initiatives include energy and water efficiency measures, responsible waste management and a focus on locally sourced ingredients supporting nearby producers and communities. Excursions are designed with a low-impact approach, encouraging guests to engage thoughtfully with Patagonia’s fragile ecosystems, wildlife and cultural traditions.

Why we love The Singular Patagonia

The history of the building is certainly a fabulous element, but what really makes this great is the location. Close enough to Torres del Paine to visit, but far enough away that you can explore Patagaonia away from the busy ares, especially in summer.
