Good to know

How to get there

PATA Lodge is reached via a domestic flight from Santiago to either Puerto Montt or Chaitén, followed by a scenic overland journey into the remote Futaleufú Valley in northern Chilean Patagonia. Private transfers will then be arranged for you, with the journey offering spectacular views of forests, rivers, and the Andes along the way.

Are children welcome?

Yes. PATA Lodge is very family-friendly, with several cabins specifically designed for families with children. Some cabins accommodate up to 4–6 guests, and the lodge offers activities suited to both adults and younger travellers, including floating excursions, farm visits, beekeeping, kayaking, and nature experiences.

Giving back

Sustainability is deeply woven into the philosophy of PATA Lodge, which was created as part of a wider regenerative living project in northern Chilean Patagonia. The lodge operates largely off-grid, generating its own energy, treating its own water, and managing waste through recycling and composting systems. Set across protected farmland and native forest, the project places strong emphasis on organic agriculture, ecosystem regeneration, and conservation, with the vast majority of the land left untouched as a private reserve. Cabins were built using local materials and craftsmanship, while much of the food served comes directly from the gardens, orchards, and surrounding farm, creating a thoughtful, low-impact experience that feels genuinely connected to the landscape.

What's included

Stays at PATA Lodge include room, daily breakfast and either half board or full board dining depending on the option booked, with fresh farm-to-table meals served at the lodge’s organic restaurant. Guests also have access to the property’s gardens, river beaches, hot tub, yoga spaces, and communal areas, while a wide range of guided activities — including rafting, hiking, kayaking, fly fishing, horseriding, and farm experiences — can usually be arranged at an additional cost.

Private excursions can also be organised depending on the itinerary.

Why we love PATA Lodge

PATA Lodge offers a rare blend of adventure, sustainability, and deep immersion in the wild landscapes of northern Chilean Patagonia, creating an experience that feels both beautifully remote and genuinely connected to nature.
