Conservation Safari & Puma Tracking

The puma research and conservation project at focuses on promoting coexistence between humans and pumas in Patagonia. Researchers use GPS collars, camera traps, and field observations to monitor puma movements, behaviour, and diet. The project tests non-lethal livestock protection strategies – such as guardian dogs (Great Pyrenees and Maremma), flashing deterrents, and improved fencing to reduce predation.

Beyond scientific study, the initiative combines education, community outreach, and ecotourism to support sustainable ranching, protect wildlife, and raise awareness, serving as a replicable model for wildlife-friendly farming across the region.
