Highlights

  • Ski concierge service – Staff collect your skis as you step off the slope, warm your boots overnight and have everything ready for you each morning. It’s seamless, thoughtful and one of the resort’s most appreciated touches.

  • Alfresco après – Firepits flicker on the terrace as mulled wine is served under thick blankets. Settle in after the slopes and watch the light fade across Whistler’s peaks – it’s low-key, cosy and quietly atmospheric.

  • Chalet-style rooms – Wood-panelled interiors, stone fireplaces and generous bathtubs make the rooms feel more like private lodges. Most have balconies overlooking the mountains, ideal for early morning coffee or a final drink by starlight.

  • Locally-inspired dining – Sidecut champions British Columbia’s best ingredients, from Okanagan wines to grass-fed beef and cedar-smoked fish. Service is slick but friendly, with chefs happy to tailor dishes to personal tastes and dietary requirements.

  • Spoiling alpine spa – Expect glacial clay wraps, maple sugar scrubs and eucalyptus steam rooms. It’s particularly good post-ski, with a long list of targeted massages designed to soothe sore legs and ease tension across the shoulders.

  • Year-round adventures – Beyond the ski season, there’s hiking, biking, bear-spotting and heli-picnics on these remote Canadian peaks. Our experts can arrange guides, maps and insider access to Whistler’s lesser-known trails and summer wildlife-viewing spots.

Good to know

How do we get there?

Most guests arrive via a scenic 2 to 2.5-hour drive from Vancouver along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, either by private transfer or self-drive. For a faster, more dramatic option, helicopter transfers are available (weather dependent), landing at Whistler Heliport with a short drive to the hotel. All options offer breathtaking views en route.

Are children welcome?

Yes – children are very welcome at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, and the experience is thoughtfully tailored for families.

There’s a complimentary kids’ programme with games, crafts and seasonal activities, plus child-friendly menus at Sidecut and in-room dining. Many suites can accommodate families with ease, and connecting rooms are available on request. In winter, the ski concierge can help coordinate lessons or arrange trusted local instructors, while summer brings family-friendly hiking, biking and bear-viewing excursions.

The team is brilliant at remembering small details, from favourite snacks to extra robes in the right size, making it feel like a genuine home from home.

Giving back

Four Seasons Resort Whistler follows the group’s wider environmental and social responsibility strategy, known as the Four Seasons for Good programme. This framework shapes efforts across all properties and focuses on two key areas – planet and people – to ensure a lasting, positive impact on local ecosystems and communities.

New builds and major renovations are designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating internationally recognised standards such as LEED Gold or BREEAM Excellent, with a focus on energy efficiency, water conservation and waste reduction.

Each property works toward annual targets to lower energy use, cut carbon emissions and manage water more responsibly. This includes switching to energy-efficient systems, training staff, educating guests and working closely with suppliers to reduce excess packaging and unnecessary waste.

A clear emphasis is placed on reducing single-use plastics, improving recycling rates and cutting food waste by half (relative to a pre-2019 baseline) by 2030. Edible surplus is donated where possible, and used cooking oil is recycled. Kitchen teams are encouraged to work with local producers and ethically responsible suppliers.

Properties are also expected to engage with local biodiversity and conservation efforts, whether through supporting wildlife protection, minimising disruption to surrounding habitats or involving guests in sustainability-focused activities.

While the programme is global in scope, individual properties like Whistler have the flexibility to tailor their approach to the specific environmental and cultural needs of their location. Let me know if you’d like this shaped into a guest-facing summary, or worked into an itinerary or proposal.

What's Nearby?

Four Seasons Resort Whistler is brilliantly located in the Upper Village at the base of Blackcomb Mountain – slightly removed from the bustle of Whistler Village, but still within easy walking distance of everything. Here’s a curated overview of what’s nearby:

  • Blackcomb Gondola – Just a short stroll from the resort, this is your gateway to world-class skiing in winter and hiking and mountain biking in summer. The convenience of being so close makes early starts effortless.
  • Whistler Village – A 10-minute walk or complimentary shuttle ride takes you into the heart of Whistler, where boutiques, art galleries, independent coffee shops and a buzzy après scene await.
  • Lost Lake – An easy 15-minute walk through the forest leads to this tranquil spot, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding or picnicking in summer. In winter, it transforms into a Nordic skiing and snowshoeing haven.
  • Audain Art Museum – One of British Columbia’s leading cultural spaces, showcasing First Nations art, architecture and rotating exhibitions. It’s a short walk away and well worth a visit.
  • Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre – Practically next door to the resort, this immersive space offers a powerful introduction to the Indigenous cultures of the region, with guided tours, workshops and traditional storytelling.
  • Vallea Lumina – In summer, this multimedia night walk through the forest is a family favourite – think music, lights and a touch of magic woven into the natural landscape.
  • Golf, ziplining and 4WD adventures – In the warmer months, Whistler is packed with adventure, from championship golf courses and forest zipline circuits to jeep safaris and glacier hikes – all easily arranged from the resort.

Why we love the Four Seasons Whistler

There’s so much to love about this hotel, but somehow it’s the scent of cedar smoke in the lobby that lives with you. You’ll be transported back here everytime you smell it!
