Giving back

At 1 Hotel Toronto, materials and furnishings are crafted from local and reclaimed resources, including timber and driftwood sourced from the city. Bed linens and mattresses are sustainably produced, non-toxic and organic, ensuring a healthier stay for guests.

The hotel uses LED lighting and smart temperature controls to optimise energy efficiency throughout the property. An on-site organic composter transforms 5,443 kg of waste into less than 454 kg of compost each month, which nourishes plants across the hotel grounds and neighbouring parks. 1 Hotel Toronto also does not use single-use plastic.

The hotel is partnered with the local charity Suits Me Fine, donating clothing items to those in need. This gives guests the option to leave an item of clothing behind, and it will be donated.
