How to get there

To get to Reserva do Ibitipoca, you can fly into either Rio de Janeiro (Galeão International Airport) or Belo Horizonte (Tancredo Neves International Airport), both about 4-5 hours’ drive from the hotel. From there, you can take a private transfer to reach the property, with the final stretch along scenic dirt roads.

There are also a very limited number of flights to Juiz De Fora Airport from Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, which is approximately 1 -1 hour 30 minutes away from the Ibiti Project by car.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome, making it a great destination for families to spend time together and enjoy nature and outdoor adventures.  The reserve offers a family-friendly environment, with activities suitable for children, such as nature walks, birdwatching, and guided hikes.

Reserva do Ibitipoca is committed to sustainability through eco-friendly practices that prioritise environmental conservation and community well-being. The reserve focuses on preserving the local ecosystem by implementing energy-efficient systems, reducing waste, and promoting the use of renewable resources. It supports local communities by sourcing products from nearby artisans and farmers, while also engaging in environmental education and conservation projects.

What's included

A stay at the the project includes your accommodation, all meals featuring locally sourced Brazilian cuisine, yoga classes and one guided hike per day. Guests can also enjoy wellness activities such as yoga and spa treatments, along with scenic picnic lunches and cultural or environmental programmes.

Some specialised activities may require booking in advance and have an extra cost.
