Good to know

How to get there

Tuludi is best reached by air from Maun. A short, scenic flight—typically around 30 minutes—takes you to the airstrip closest to Tuludi, located in the Khwai Private Reserve. From there, it’s just a short, guided drive to the camp.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children over the age of 6 are welcome at Tuludi. This is due to the nature of the safari activities, which may not always be suitable for younger children, especially walking safaris and game drives.

Giving back

Tuludi is committed to minimising its environmental impact while supporting local communities and conserving the Okavango Delta’s delicate ecosystem. The camp was designed with a light environmental footprint in mind, incorporating sustainable building materials and renewable energy sources, including solar power. Strict waste management policies are in place, ensuring that waste is recycled or responsibly disposed of to prevent pollution.

Additionally, Tuludi actively engages with local communities through partnerships and employment opportunities, helping to uplift nearby villages and promote skills development. Anti-poaching efforts and wildlife monitoring programmes are also supported by the camp, ensuring that the region’s iconic species and habitats remain protected for future generations.

Wildlife you are likely to see

  • Big Cats: Lions and leopards are frequently sighted, particularly leopards thanks to the area’s skilled guides and trackers.
  • Elephants and Buffalo: Large herds of elephants roam the reserve, alongside buffalos that often graze in the open floodplains.
  • African Wild Dogs: A highlight of the region, wild dog packs are often seen in action, playing or hunting.
  • Hyenas and Cheetahs: Both predators are regularly encountered, offering exciting opportunities to observe their unique behaviours.
  • Antelope Species: Impala, kudu, and red lechwe are common, adding to the diversity of herbivores in the ecosystem.
  • Birdlife: The Okavango Delta’s waterways attract a stunning array of birds, including kingfishers, bee-eaters, fish eagles, and owls.

Why we love Tuludi

The tents here are fabulous with private plunge pools and large shaded decks that really allow you to relax and be on holiday, but what really makes it great is that, as part of a private concession, the proceeds from your stay go straight into initiatives to support the surrounding communities.
