Good to know

How to get there

Getting to Skybeds typically begins with a light aircraft flight from Maun to the Khwai Private Reserve. Once you arrive at the reserve’s airstrip, you’ll be met by a guide who will take you on a short game drive to Skybeds.

Are children welcome?

Skybeds has an age policy that generally restricts stays to children aged 12 and older. This is primarily due to the open-air design of the platforms and the wilderness setting, which may not be suitable for younger childrren.

Giving back

Skybeds is committed to sustainable tourism and conservation. The camp is constructed with minimal environmental impact, featuring raised platforms that ensure a light footprint on the land. Renewable energy sources, including solar power, are utilised to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

In addition, Skybeds operates within the Khwai Private Reserve, which is dedicated to preserving biodiversity, supporting anti-poaching initiatives, and contributing to local conservation efforts. By maintaining a low number of guests and adhering to eco-friendly practices, Skybeds helps ensure that the surrounding environment remains pristine for future generations. This commitment extends to engaging with local communities, providing employment opportunities, and supporting projects that benefit both people and wildlife.
